No-one believes in buzzwords. We flick past jargon, scroll away from cliché, roll our eyes at hyperbole. This is why journalism matters: we find and tell stories that move people.

I’ve been a journalist for 20 years. I write about sustainability, culture and lifestyle for the BBC, the Guardian, Vogue Business, The Times, Grazia, and more.

And I apply the principles of journalism when consulting and writing for brands and businesses.

I began my career travelling the world, reporting on the global fashion industry for Drapers, where I rose to deputy editor. I ran the editorial team across all publishing platforms, hosted fashion industry events and appeared on BBC News, Sky and Woman’s Hour.

I’m the author of Three Things to Help Heal the Planet, a collection of 21 essays on how to tackle the climate crisis. I’m also co-editor of Comfort Zones, an anthology featuring original works by 28 women writers. My first piece of fiction was selected for Spread the Word’s City of Stories Home anthology.

My love of language goes beyond English - I speak fluent French and Portuguese, too.

Everybody has an original story. Uncovering it is the first challenge; the second is finding the words to tell it.
